MEET OUR STAFF

DUAINE ESPEGARD, PRESIDENT

Duaine was born in rural North Dakota.  He retired after 35 years
as CEO of Bremer Banks.  He is married to Phyllis Espegard and
they have two daughters, a son, and three grandchildren.  He was
elected to the North Dakota Senate in 2001(served three sessions)
and is currently a trustee on the North Dakota Higher Education
Board.  He also serves on the Governors Foundation for Economic
Development and Commerce Department.  In Retirement, he serves
as a consultant in banking and energy in North Dakota and 
surrounding states.  He is a member of the Board of Directors on
insurance companies, banks, and a regional food company.

  MARJIE JONASSON, VICE PRESIDENT

Marjie began her banking career in 1979 and has
experienced all areas of banking since that time.  She
currently serves as a Vice President/Loan Officer for
Citizens State Bank.  She also serves on the Board of
Directors for the bank.  Marjie lives near Edinburg, ND
with her daughter, Rachel who is 11 years old.  Marjie
has two other children, Mara and Jerry.  Mara is a 
Customer Service Representative for the bank and Jerry
worked in the Operations Department of the bank.

 GREG BAUER, LOAN OFFICER/VICE PRESIDENT

Francis Gregory Bauer has 25 years of Lending and 28 years of
custom farming experience that he brings with him to CSB.  Greg
started custom farming in 1981 and has been involved with farming
all of his life.  He is a graduate of Lake Region Community college
with a degree in Farm Management.  He is a licensed insurance
agent and has sold Crop and Hail insurance since 1988.  He has
been an active 4-H leader for 20 plus years and currently serves on
the Walsh County Fair Board as Commercial Booth Chairman.

The Bauer's, Marlys and Greg, are residing on the Gaarder  Farm
near Park River.  They have three children, Reverend Jennifer
Tillman, Joshua Bauer, and Jamie Bauer. 

JERRY LEINGANG, LOAN OFFICER/VICE PRESIDENT

 


Jerry is employed as a Branch Manager at the Edmore Branch
of Citizens State Bank.  After retiring from education and
coaching in 2005, Jerry also brings 12 years of insurance
adjusting experience to CSB.  Jerry and Valerie(Deseth) have
two grown children, Tara Bartholomay of Bismarck and
Dr. Brett Leingang of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  They have
one grandchild, Asher (Tara), and are expecting a new
Bartholomay in November.  Jerry's hobbies are: hunting,
hunting, and more hunting!

 KAREN ENGESATHER, CASHIER

 

Karen Engesather is Cashier at Citizens State Bank.  
She has over thirty years of banking experience.  She 
enjoys motorcycling, fishing and camping in the 
summer and ice fishing in the winter.  Karen and 
her husband, Randy, live in Grafton.

 JENNIFER HALVORSON, ACCOUNTANT/LOAN ASSISTANT

Jennifer has been employed at CSB since September 2008.
She has an AAS in Marketing/Merchandising-Major in sales and
an AAA in Business Management-Major in Accounting.  At 
Mayville State University she received a Bachelor of Science,
Major in Business Administration, Minor in Accounting, 
Specialization in Business Management, IT Certificate, and 
Graduated with Cum Laude honors.  She currently lives in Park
River with her husband, Myron and two children, Preston & 
Christian. 

 LINDA BERNTSON, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

 Linda Berntson is employed as Customer Service Representative 
at the Edmore branch of Citizens State Bank.  Linda has over 
fourty years of banking experience.  She enjoys working with flowers, 
going to basketball games and following Twins baseball.  
Linda lives in Edmore.

JANIE CAPP, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

 


Janie Capp is employed as a Customer Service 
Representative at the Lankin branch of Citizens State Bank.  
She has eight years of banking experience.  Janie and her 
husband, John, live on a farm near Lankin and are the 
parents of five children.

  
SHEILA LAXDAL, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

  
Sheila Laxdal is employed as a Customer Service Representative
at the Edinburg branch.  She has 4 years of banking experience.  Sheila
and her husband Cory live near Edinburg and have 3 children.

MARA JONASSON, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Mara Jonasson is employed as a Customer Service Representative
at the Edinburg branch of Citizens State Bank of Lankin.  She enjoys
spending time with family and friends.  She lives near Edinburg.

 LOIS MYRVIK, CUSTOMER SERVICE REP/LOAN PROCESSOR

Lois Myrvik joined the Edmore branch of Citizens State Bank in
March 2009 as a loan processor.  Lois & her husband Brad live on
the farm Lois's grandfather homesteaded in 1896.  They have two
grown sons, Lance and Nathan.  Lois was bookkeeper at the
Fairdale Farmers Elevator several years before being a full-time
homeschool mom.  She enjoys teaching piano, reading, cooking,
gardening, Bible study, and deer hunting with her family.
